Understanding Leather Types

  • Full-Grain Leather — The highest quality. Uses the entire hide with natural markings intact. Ages beautifully and lasts decades.
  • Top-Grain Leather — Sanded and refinished for a more uniform look. Slightly more affordable while still premium.
  • Aniline Leather — Dyed with transparent dyes that let the natural grain show through. Soft and luxurious, best for low-traffic areas.
  • Semi-Aniline Leather — A light protective coating over aniline dye. The best balance of beauty and durability for everyday use.
  • Nubuck — Buffed full-grain leather with a velvety texture. Offered by Nicoline in select models.

Nicoline Italia — Based in Puglia, southern Italy, Nicoline offers over 40 sofa designs in their Philosophy and Timeless collections. Every frame is solid wood, cushions use differentiated-density foam with feather-blend tops, and you can choose from hundreds of leather and fabric options. Fully customizable sizes and configurations.

Franco Ferri Italia — Known for bold, contemporary Italian design with generous proportions. Their leather sofas feature deep seats and sculptural silhouettes that make a statement in any living room.

Valmori 1963 — A family-run Italian workshop since 1963, Valmori combines traditional craftsmanship with modern comfort. Their Moving and Aladine ranges are particularly popular in Hong Kong for their compact yet luxurious designs.

Leather Sofa Care in Hong Kong

Hong Kong's humidity requires a little extra attention. We recommend wiping your leather sofa with a dry cloth weekly, using a leather conditioner every 3-6 months, and keeping it away from direct sunlight and air conditioning vents. Our team can advise on the best care routine for your specific leather type.
