A 1957 icon by Arne Jacobsen

Arne Jacobsen designed the AJ Floor Lamp in 1957 as part of his complete commission for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen — every fitting, every detail, conceived as a single architectural gesture. With its tilted cone shade balanced on a slender steel stem, the AJ Floor pairs graphic confidence with quiet utility.

Light concept
Downward-directed light. The shade angle is adjustable, and the white-painted inner surface softens the reflected light for comfortable reading or task work.
