Poul Henningsen's 1928 PH 3½-2½ Table Glass lamp was part of his committed effort to shape electric light. It featured a logarithmic spiral, calculations, tests and a shade design built to reflect and shape light. Glare-free, it debuted in early 1927 as an alternative to hanging lamps. The three-layer opal glass emits uniform, harmonious, soft light. Glossy on top, sandblasted matt on bottom, it soothes the lamp's surroundings.

Light concept
The fixture is designed based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, which directs the majority of the light downwards. The shades are made of mouth-blown opal three-layer glass, which is glossy on top and sandblasted matt on the underside, giving a soft and diffused light distribution.
