AJ Floor Lamp Brass by Arne Jacobsen
Arne Jacobsen designed this fixture, among many other features, for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, in 1957. The floor lamp yields a pleasant downward directed light with its white painted inner shade. Furthermore, the shade can be tilted to adjust light distribution.
Light concept
Soft, glare-free illumination tuned to the form of the floor lamp. The shade and reflector geometry are designed to direct light comfortably across the room while concealing the bulb from typical sightlines.
Materials & finish
Crafted from spun aluminium, steel, glass or brass depending on the finish family — refer to variant selection for available combinations. Brass and copper surfaces are typically untreated and develop a natural patina over time.
